Job summary

Calibre Search is recruiting a Graduate or Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team in North Yorkshire. You will assist with cost management from inception through to final account on civil engineering and water infrastructure projects across the UK.

You will receive direct mentoring from experienced commercial professionals and a clear route for progression within a growing business, with exposure to NEC contracts and varied project types.

Qualifications

• Quantity Surveying degree or HNC/HND qualification.
• Graduate level or up to 3 years' industry experience.
• Interest in infrastructure, utilities, civil engineering or water projects.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with project cost management from inception through to final account.
• Supporting the preparation of applications, valuations and commercial reporting.
• Helping manage subcontractor packages and payments.
• Assisting with variations, compensation events and change management.
• Supporting monthly CVRs and cost forecasting.
• Working closely with operational teams on live infrastructure projects.
• Developing your understanding of NEC contracts and commercial management.
