Job summary

The Nicholas Associates Group Limited in Yorkshire is seeking a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join the Quantity Surveying Team and manage all commercial elements throughout the project lifecycle. You will support cost planning, value management and contractual engagement on varied site schemes.

This role suits a recently graduated Quantity Surveying student with strong IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) and a proactive, methodical mindset. Salary up to £30,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Recently graduated with a Quantity Surveying degree.
• Competent IT skills in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Demonstrable financial and commercial acumen.
• Practical approach, logical thought process and a methodical way of working.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work under pressure as part of a team and individually.

Responsibilities

• Working within the Quantity Surveying Team to manage all commercial elements throughout the project lifecycle.

• Ensuring contractual and commercial risks and opportunities are identified and addressed.

• Support and advise the project manager in respect of fulfilment of all contractual obligations.

The company is a Groundworks and Civil Engineering company operating as a sub-contractor for most of the major and regional housebuilders, as well as other market sectors.

THE ROLE:

• Working within the Quantity Surveying Team to manage all commercial elements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Minimise costs and enhance value for money
• Achieve the required standards and quality in accordance with contract and client expectations.
• Ensuring contractual and commercial risks and opportunities are identified and addressed.
