Job summary

Nicholas Associates Group Limited is seeking a Graduate Quantity Surveyor in Derby. The role covers managing commercial elements across the project lifecycle, cost control, risk management and contract engagement.

You will liaise with site teams, suppliers and client representatives to meet standards and obligations. The position offers a competitive starting salary up to £30,000, with travel throughout the UK and development opportunities in a growing groundworks and civil engineering

Qualifications

• Recently graduated with a Quantity Surveying degree.
• Competent IT skills in Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Demonstrable financial and commercial acumen.
• Practical approach, logical thought process and a methodical way of working.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work under pressure as part of a team and individually.
• Willing to travel to sites throughout the UK.
• Valid UK Driving Licence.

The company is a Groundworks and Civil Engineering company operating as a sub‑contractor for most of the major and regional housebuilders, as well as other market sectors.
