Sir Robert McAlpine is offering a Graduate Programme for 2027 in Quantity Surveying. You will join live UK projects from day one and rotate across sectors while working toward achieving chartered status with ICE or RICS.

The two-year journey includes conferences, a Lake District team development course, a Project Simulation, and People Agility training, with dedicated PD days and industry qualifications in SMSTS, SEATS, and more.

At Sir Robert McAlpine, our graduates don't sit on the sidelines. From day one you'll be part of a live project team, doing real work on some of the UK's most significant buildings and infrastructure, and you'll be working towards becoming a chartered professional.

How we'll develop you

• You’ll join one of our core job families and rotate across projects, sectors, and specialisms to build real breadth
• A clear route to chartership with ICE or RICS. You get 4 dedicated days a year for professional development.
• Your own cohort of fellow graduates to learn alongside and support each other.
• A structured two-year journey:
  • Emerging Talent conferences
  • a three-day team development course in the Lake District
  • a three-day Project Simulation that takes you through a project from tender to post-contract
  • People Agility training in influencing, negotiation and problem-solving
• Industry qualifications and skills: SMSTS, SEATS, Presenting with Excellence, Successful Package Management, plus digital skills (Excel, AI, digital construction), sustainability and role-specific technical training
