Job summary

Optiver, a leading global trading firm, seeks a Graduate Quantitative Researcher to join its research teams in London. You’ll work across the full research process, framing questions, selecting data, and building, testing and deploying models with ML at the core.

Expect rapid experimentation in production environments and collaboration with researchers, traders and engineers. You’ll join Optiver Academy on onboarding, gaining exposure to AI tools and technologies used across the business, and

Qualifications

• Academic degree in Engineering, Physics, Maths, Econometrics or Computer Science with outstanding academic achievements.
• Programming experience in any language (preferably Python, but C, C++, Basic, JAVA, etc. are also a plus).
• Ability to apply concepts of probability, calculus and linear algebra.

Responsibilities

• Build models for pricing, forecasting and signal discovery using suitable statistical or ML methods.
• Work across large market and order-flow data to find signals that improve strategies.
• Monitor models in production and refine assumptions using live behavior.
• Use deep learning and AI-enabled workflows to shorten the loop from hypothesis to evidence.
• Collaborate with researchers, traders and engineers to shape problems and understand system constraints.
