Responsibilities

• Support quality investigations, audits, corrective actions and development of quality documentation.
• Assist with process improvements, manufacturing problem-solving and production efficiency initiatives.
• Support continuous improvement projects to reduce waste, improve quality and increase efficiency.
• Assist with new product introductions, engineering changes and manufacturing improvement projects.
• Collaborate with Quality, Production, Engineering and Operations to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Monitor performance data, prepare reports and support achieving quality and production targets.
• Help ensure manufacturing processes meet quality standards, internal procedures and customer requirements.

Position: Graduate Quality Engineer

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000

Location: Salisbury

Graduate Quality Engineer required. Our client is a well-established and growing automotive manufacturing business seeking a Graduate Quality Engineer to join its Operations and Quality teams.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineering graduate to gain hands-on experience across quality assurance, production, manufacturing processes and continuous improvement within a fast-paced industrial environment.

Graduate Quality Engineer Position Overview

• Supporting quality investigations, audits, corrective actions and the development of quality documentation.
• Assisting with process improvements, manufacturing problem-solving and production efficiency initiatives.
• Supporting continuous improvement projects aimed at reducing waste, improving quality and increasing operational efficiency.
• Assisting with new product introductions, engineering changes and manufacturing improvement projects.
• Working closely with colleagues across Quality, Production, Engineering and Operations to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Monitoring performance data, preparing reports and supporting the achievement of quality and production targets.
• Helping to ensure that manufacturing processes meet relevant quality standards, internal procedures and customer requirements.

Graduate Quality Engineer Position Requirements

• Degree qualified in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Automotive, Industrial or Production Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate issues and identify potential improvements.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with an interest in data analysis and performance reporting.
• Well organised, proactive and able to manage multiple tasks.
• A positive attitude towards learning, continuous improvement and developing technical knowledge.
• Any previous experience or knowledge of quality systems, manufacturing processes or improvement methodologies would be advantageous.
