Job summary

National Gas is offering a dynamic 18‑month graduate programme as an Assistant Project Manager. You will work across major infrastructure projects, gaining hands-on experience in planning, delivery and reporting while collaborating with engineers, contractors and stakeholders.

You will join a supportive team, developing communication and problem‑solving skills in a real energy infrastructure environment, with travel across sites and a pathway to professional growth.

Qualifications

• Degree in a STEM-related subject (Engineering degrees beneficial).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Interest in engineering, infrastructure or project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Support project planning and coordination activities.
• Help manage project documentation and information.
• Assist with project reporting and stakeholder updates.
• Support budget tracking and project cost activities.
• Identify and track project risks, actions and issues.
• Attend project meetings and ensure actions are completed.
• Collaborate with colleagues across locations to keep projects on track.
• Understand engineering projects from design through delivery.
