Hawk 3 Talent Solutions is seeking a Graduate Project Manager for a construction delivery team in Newport. The role offers practical experience across the full project lifecycle, from inception to completion, with supervision from experienced Project Managers.

You will assist with planning, coordination, monitoring and reporting, while developing knowledge in procurement, contract administration and governance within a busy project environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in a Project Management-related discipline.
  • Previous experience in a similar or related project management role is desirable.
  • Experience of construction project management, including contract management, is desirable.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy and varied workload.
  • A proven ability to plan, prioritise and organise your own work effectively in a busy and fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively.
  • A proactive and solution-focused approach to problem-solving.
  • The ability to think creatively and use initiative to find solutions to complex problems.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate project records.
  • Confidence liaising with stakeholders and decision makers at all levels.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A current site card, or willingness to obtain one immediately.
  • A full UK driving licence to meet the travel requirements of the role.
  • A genuine interest in construction and a desire to develop a career in project management.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with development and maintenance of project plans, programmes, budgets and resource schedules.
  • Support preparation and maintenance of project documentation, including briefs, RAID logs, delivery plans and progress reports.
  • Maintain accurate project records and filing systems.
  • Coordinate activities to ensure key milestones are achieved.
  • Support Project Managers with day-to-day delivery of construction projects.
  • Monitor progress and escalate risks, issues and delays when needed.
  • Assist with tracking budgets and expenditure.
  • Support procurement activities and liaise with suppliers and contractors.
  • Attend site meetings and project reviews as required.
  • Build positive working relationships with internal teams, contractors, consultants and clients.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, minutes and action trackers.
  • Support communications to keep stakeholders informed of progress.
  • Produce regular project updates and performance reports.
  • Identify and monitor risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Support compliance with policies, procedures and statutory requirements.
  • Promote health and safety across activities.
  • Monitor quality standards and project deliverables.
  • Participate in training to build knowledge and skills.
  • Understand construction delivery, contract administration and governance processes.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and other duties as required.

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and organised Graduate Project Manager to join a professional project delivery team in Newport.

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate looking to build a career in construction project management. Working alongside experienced Project Managers, you will gain practical experience across the full project lifecycle, supporting projects from inception through to completion.

The successful candidate will support project planning, coordination, monitoring, reporting and stakeholder engagement, while developing their knowledge and experience across construction project delivery, procurement, contract administration and governance.

Key Responsibilities

About You
