Job summary

Assystem in the UK is launching a two-year Graduate Programme in Project Controls. You’ll work with experienced consultants supporting major programmes across energy, infrastructure and defence.

You’ll gain practical experience in planning, cost, risk, change and performance reporting, building your technical capability while learning how projects operate and how to deliver value for clients and multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Recently completed, or expect to complete, a degree in any discipline before joining the Graduate Programme.
• Enjoy working with numbers, information and data to understand how something is performing.
• Are curious and willing to question what the information is telling you.
• Can identify patterns, solve problems and explain your findings clearly.
• Have strong organisational skills and feel comfortable managing different tasks and deadlines.
• Communicate clearly and enjoy working with colleagues, clients and stakeholders.
• Are proactive, reliable and willing to learn from experienced team members.
• Have an interest in how complex projects are planned, monitored and delivered.
• Experience with Excel, Power BI, data analysis, planning tools, risk analysis or project management would be beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the development and maintenance of project plans, schedules, forecasts and baselines.
• Collecting, checking and analysing project information from different teams and systems.
• Helping monitor progress, costs, risks and changes against agreed project targets.
• Identifying trends, variances and emerging issues, and raising them with experienced team members.
• Supporting the preparation of dashboards, performance reports and clear management information.
• Helping maintain risk, change, action and decision records.
• Working with project managers, planners, cost specialists, engineers, commercial teams and other stakeholders.
• Contributing to project meetings, reviews and improvement activities while developing your specialist knowledge.
