Graduate Process Engineer - Manufacturing

- Location: Lisburn, Northern Ireland
- Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
- Working Hours: 37.5 hours/week

  • Monday-Thursday: 8:30am-5:00pm
  • Friday: 8:30am-2:00pm
  • Flexi-time policy in place

- Starting Salary: £28,500

  • Incremental rise to £34,000 over 24 months


We're seeking a driven and detail-oriented Graduate Process Engineer to join a forward-thinking manufacturing company based in Lisburn. This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineering graduate to gain hands-on experience optimising production processes, reducing waste, and improving operational efficiency in a high-quality, bespoke manufacturing environment.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Assist in the design and implementation of workflow and process improvements using Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Carry out time studies, line balancing, and layout optimisation for production areas
  • Support new product introduction and continuous improvement projects across multiple production lines
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Production, Quality, and NPD teams
  • Maintain and update Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Use data to support capital equipment investment proposals
  • Analyse production metrics to identify areas for cost, waste, and quality improvements
  • Communicate project progress and findings across departments
  • Liaise with suppliers and customers to resolve technical challenges


What We're Looking For:
Essential:

  • Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Strong interest in continuous improvement and manufacturing efficiency
  • Experience working with CAD and Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrable communication, organisation, and project skills
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

Desirable:

  • 1 year+ experience in a manufacturing/process engineering role
  • Familiarity with MRP systems and ISO 9001 standards
  • Previous use of Lean tools and techniques
  • Experience working within a structured NPD or engineering change process
