Job summary

S&W in Birmingham is recruiting for a trainee within our Private Client Tax team. You’ll support clients from individuals to business owners, gaining exposure to tax compliance, planning and advisory matters from day one.

As you study towards the ATT and CTA under our Level 7 programme, you’ll receive structured training, dedicated study time and guidance from experienced colleagues, helping you build technical, analytical and client-relations skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2:2 degree in any discipline.
• A Level: 112 UCAS points.
• GCSE: English Language and Maths, Grade 5 or equivalent.
• Commitment to Level 7 ATT/CTA Tax Pathway.

Responsibilities

• Liaising with clients and third parties to obtain information and understand objectives.
• Preparing tax returns and repayment claims, ensuring compliance on time.
• Helping clients understand upcoming tax liabilities and related matters.
• Assisting with client advice, including tax research, planning and drafting reports.
• Corresponding with clients, HMRC and other third parties by phone, email and letter to support high-quality service.
