Job summary

S&W in Manchester is recruiting a trainee for the Private Client Tax team. You will work with individuals, families and business owners, assisting with tax compliance and planning from day one.

No prior experience in accountancy is required; we provide training and study support for the ATT/CTA Level 7 pathway within a supportive environment. You will join a cohort with mentoring and structured development opportunities.

Qualifications

• No previous experience in accountancy, finance or professional services is required.
• Join as part of a cohort with a buddy and L&D support.
• Commitment to Level 7 ATT/CTA pathway, with structured study
• GCSE/A Levels requirements: specified in the ad (121 UCAS points etc. implied).

Responsibilities

• Liaising with clients and third parties to obtain information and understand objectives.
• Preparing tax returns and repayment claims to meet compliance on time.
• Help clients understand upcoming tax liabilities and related matters.
• Assist with client advisory work, including tax research and drafting reports.
• Corresponding with clients, HMRC and others to deliver high-quality service.
