Job summary

Formby-based primary school is seeking a Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant to support learning and student development from November 2026, initially until the end of the academic year. The role is full-time, Monday-Friday, 32.5 hours per week, term-time only.

You'll deliver targeted 1:1 and small-group assistance, work with class teachers and the SENCO, and collaborate with experienced education professionals to build practical skills for future education careers.

Responsibilities

• As a Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant, you'll work alongside class teachers, the SENCO and fellow teaching assistants to help pupils overcome challenges and engage positively with their learning
• Your responsibilities will include supporting everyday classroom activities, delivering individual assistance and leading focused small-group sessions
• You'll help children strengthen their academic understanding, develop social skills and build the confidence to become more independent learners

• Graduates with a 2:1 degree or above are encouraged to apply
