Job summary

ECM Selection is seeking a Platform Engineer to join a dynamic team in central London. The role focuses on expanding and managing cloud infrastructure with automation, ownership of server management and security compliance, and a broad DevOps remit across the stack.

You will work with AWS and Azure alongside in-house servers, gaining exposure to IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and security best practices while enjoying a hybrid schedule (up to three days WFH) and a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Strong academic record: 2.1 or above in Computer Science or closely related subject.
• Expertise in networking, Azure and/or AWS operations, and infrastructure as code (IaC), CI/CD with GitHub Actions/Jenkins.
• Proficient in Python; exposure to JavaScript and Java preferred.
• Solid understanding of IT security principles and best practices.

Their technology stack encompasses AWS, Azure, and their own servers, and their system needs to be reliable and secure as it's depended upon by major clients across the world. They are now seeking a bright engineer with experience of DevOps and security to join them.

As the Platform Engineer, you would be key to the success of the team, expanding and managing cloud infrastructure and automation, and taking ownership of server management and security compliance. You will naturally become expert across the full software stack and with a broad remit, this is an excellent opportunity to build a career in DevOps. The company use both AWS and Azure together with their own servers, so there's exceptional scope to pick up new skills and experience.

You will need:

• A strong academic record with a 2.1 or above in Computer Science or a closely related subject from a well-ranked university
• Expertise in computer networking, Azure and/or AWS operations, and infrastructure as code (IaC), and CI/CD (experience with GitHub Actions and Jenkins would be ideal)
• Coding skills in Python, preferably with some exposure to JavaScript and Java
• A solid understanding of IT security principles
• Full existing UK work permission without time limit or the need for sponsorship
