Are you looking to begin or develop your experience in a range of urban and rural planning issues? We have an opportunity within our friendly Development Management Section for a Graduate Planning Officer / Planning Officer.
Located in Rugby, one of the fastest-growing towns in the country, set to grow by 30% by 2035, with excellent transport links and a strategic location near Coventry and Leicester.
Your responsibilities will include processing planning applications, providing pre-application advice, assessing and preparing reports, and representing the Council in appeals. There are ample opportunities to be involved in housing, retail, and employment developments, with a focus on customer service and community engagement.
Our offices are in Rugby Town Centre, with options for hybrid working.
You should have a relevant degree, knowledge of current planning legislation, and excellent communication skills. For the Planning Officer role, a professional qualification or relevant experience is expected. A driving license and access to a vehicle are essential.
