Job summary

Persimmon Homes is seeking an Assistant Planner in Telford to support the Planning Team. You will assist planning appraisals, submissions, and related documents, engaging with consultants, authorities, and communities to progress residential projects.

The role requires RTPI-accredited planning education (preferred) or equivalent, strong communication, adaptability, and a valid UK driving licence. A dynamic housebuilder ethos with development opportunities awaits.

Qualifications

Experience in development management or planning policy.
RTPI-accredited degree preferred but not essential.
Full UK driving licence.
Excellent verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Assist planning and development appraisals and planning submissions.
Support preparation of Planning Statements and Design & Access Statements.
Coordinate with consultants, authorities, stakeholders and communities.
Prepare site assessments and planning histories for immediate and strategic sites.
Project-manage Outline/Full and Reserved Matters applications.
Monitor planning progress and ensure timely delivery of documents.
