Job summary

Persimmon Homes in the UK is seeking an Assistant Planner to join the Planning Team. The role involves supporting planning appraisals, submissions, and policy analysis for residential sites, working with consultants, local authorities, and stakeholders.

You will help prepare planning statements, design and access statements, and manage site assessments to meet deadlines, while developing plans for both immediate and strategic sites.

Qualifications

• Degree or RTPI-accredited planning qualification preferred.
• Experience in development management or planning policy.
• Commercially minded and adaptable to change.

Responsibilities

• Produce site assessments and analyse planning histories.
• Prepare planning submissions and statements (Outline/Full/Reserved Matters).
• Coordinate with internal and external planners, authorities and consultants.
• Support plan-making processes and monitor progress with authorities.
• Potentially deputise for Head of Planning when needed.
