Qualifications

  • Recently graduated with a Biomedical Science or Pharmaceutical Science degree or industry background.
  • Experience in a controlled production environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

The role

If you've recently graduated with a Biomedical Science or Pharmaceutical Science degree or if you've got a proven background within the industry and you're looking for somewhere you can advance in your career, this could be the opportunity for you!

Due to business growth, we are looking to expand our Aseptic Services Unit. You will be an integral part in providing each individual patient with customised Parenteral Nutrition, whether they are critically or chronically ill. You will begin your career within the picking or packing team, with the view to progress to an Aseptic Compounder within your first year of employment through a dedicated training programme.

This role will be 37.5 hours per week Monday-Friday. The working hours are 6am – 2pm, alternating with 2pm – 10pm on a weekly basis, or 7am - 3pm, alternating with 3pm - 11pm on a weekly basis and it will be based in Runcorn.

Responsibilities

  • Working to a production plan to deliver parenteral nutrition to the compounding schedule
  • Assembling raw ingredients for the final pharmaceutical product in accordance with each patients’ individual requirements
  • Ensuring all materials and components are replenished in preparation for the next shift
  • Ensuring areas are maintained and cleaned in accordance with standard operating procedures
  • Ensuring the appropriate disposal from the cleanrooms is in accordance with current procedures
  • Experience of working within a controlled production environment such as pharmaceutical or food manufacturing
  • Degree in a life-sciences subject
  • Strong attention to detail, organisational and planning skills
  • Good communication skills to ensure active motivation and good teamwork
  • Able to deal with stress and absorb pressures
  • No rota'd weekend working and no night shifts
