Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is recruiting for a Graduate Design Engineer to join a leading acoustic engineering consultancy in Southampton. The role covers noise and vibration control, CAD design and hands-on problem solving to begin a career in a specialist engineering environment.

You will work with experienced engineers on the full lifecycle of projects, combining office design/draughting with site visits, project coordination and practical engineering exposure.

Qualifications

• Ambitious graduates from engineering-related disciplines are encouraged to apply.
• Interest in noise, vibration and acoustic engineering is desirable.
• Willingness to undertake site work and travel as part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design of noise and vibration control solutions.
• Produce technical drawings and designs using CAD software.
• Draught and develop engineering drawings for bespoke acoustic products and installations.
• Support the design of acoustic hardware and noise mitigation solutions.
• Assist with site surveys and inspections.
• Support engineers with noise and vibration projects.
• Coordinate with colleagues, contractors and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist with project management and project coordination.
• Develop technical calculations, specifications and design documentation.
• Support projects from initial design through to manufacture and installation.
