Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd on behalf of a leading acoustic engineering specialist seeks a Graduate Design Engineer to join their Southampton team. The role blends office CAD design with site visits and project coordination, focusing on noise and vibration control solutions.

Ideal candidates will study engineering disciplines, show enthusiasm for acoustic engineering and CAD, and enjoy a practical, hands-on approach with potential for long-term career development in a specialist engineering

Qualifications

Degree in engineering-related discipline
Interest in noise, vibration and acoustic engineering
Willingness to undertake site work
Good communication and organisational skills
Hands-on, practical engineering attitude

Responsibilities

Assist with the design of specialist noise and vibration control solutions
Produce technical drawings and designs using CAD software
Draughting and developing engineering drawings for bespoke acoustic products and installations
Support the design of acoustic hardware and noise mitigation solutions
Assist with site surveys and inspections
Support engineers with noise and vibration projects
Liaise with colleagues, contractors and clients throughout the project lifecycle
Assist with project management and project coordination
Develop technical calculations, specifications and design documentation
Support projects from initial design through to manufacture and installation
