Job summary

UCB UK Research and Development Hub in Slough is seeking a motivated graduate scientist to join the Microbial team within BioTech Sciences. You will contribute to process development for novel protein-based therapeutics and gain hands-on experience in industry-leading laboratories.

Working in a multidisciplinary setting, you will receive training, mentorship, and opportunities to apply DoE/QbD approaches, while adhering to health and safety requirements. 1-year placement starting Dec 2026.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated with a degree in one of the listed disciplines.
• Commitment to working in a laboratory setting and following procedures.
• Interest in process development for protein therapeutics.

Responsibilities

• Work within a multidisciplinary team supporting upstream/downstream process development.
• Carry out laboratory activities using cutting-edge technologies.
• Assist with QbD/DoE approaches and data analysis.
• Maintain accurate lab records and ensure safety compliance.
