Job summary

Engage Education is supporting a brilliant secondary school in Rochdale to recruit a recent Graduate Mentor to provide detailed 1:1 and small group academic, social and emotional support to KS3 and KS4 students across GCSE subjects for the coming academic year. The role runs Monday to Friday, September 2026 to July 2027, 08:30–15:00, paid £95 per day during term-time.

Ideal candidates hold a minimum 2:2 UK degree and have tutoring or mentoring experience with children, and are passionate about

Qualifications

• Minimum 2:2 UK-based degree.
• Experience tutoring, mentoring or volunteering with children.
• Passion for education and ability to engage learners.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to KS3 & KS4 students.
• Cover a range of GCSE subjects across the academic year.
• Create engaging sessions outside the classroom setting.
• Monitor progress and address academic weak-points.

• Creating engaging sessions outside of classroom setting
• Monitoring progress and acting on academic weak-points
• Monday to Friday role - September 2026 to July 2027
• 08.30am to 15.00pm - Paid £95 per day during term-time

Graduate Mentor - Applicant Requirements

• Minimum 2:2 UK based degree
• Strong academic background
• Experience tutoring, mentoring or volunteering with children
• Outgoing and engaging individual with passion for education
• Available for full-time work for coming academic year
