Job summary

Assystem invites mechanical engineering graduates to join its two-year Graduate Programme across Defence, New Build and Fusion and Modular Nuclear. You’ll work on live projects from day one, guided by mentors and engineers to build broad experience and confidence.

From day one you’ll support mechanical design, run calculations, prepare reports, participate in design reviews and learn to apply standards with guidance while developing a long-term engineering career.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Curious and motivated to learn and apply ideas.
• Clear communication and teamwork are important.
• Logical thinking, problem solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support mechanical design, specification and engineering assessment activities.
• Prepare calculations, technical notes, reports and engineering documentation.
• Take part in design reviews, technical meetings and multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Use engineering tools and apply relevant standards with guidance from experienced colleagues.
• Help teams identify and resolve technical issues, risks and interfaces.
