Heidelberg Materials UK in Grays/Purfleet area is offering a Graduate Engineer (Mechanical) position as part of a fixed-term graduate programme. You will gain hands-on experience in cement production, process optimisation and cross-functional project work within a leading materials group.

You should have just graduated or be graduating in 2027 with a 2:1 in Mechanical Engineering, hold UK citizenship or settled status, and a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Graduate in 2026 or graduating in 2027 with a 2:1 in Mechanical Engineering.
• British citizenship or UK settled status.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Learn and support cement plant processes, including kiln and mill operations.
• Assist with data collection, KPI reporting and process improvements.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations and safety teams to meet targets.
• Support with maintenance planning and adherence to IMS and SAP PM guidelines.
