We are working with an independently owned mechanical, electrical, and environmental design consultancy with a proven reputation in design-based services across all sectors in the construction industry. The Opportunity
Reporting to the Senior Mechanical Engineer or project/business Director, you will collaborate with Electrical and Mechanical engineers within the Project Team, with technical support from senior engineers. Your responsibilities include assisting Mechanical Engineers on various projects, completing mechanical designs with guidance, reporting workloads, and prioritizing tasks with the design lead. You will also advise on personnel resourcing and workload, attend weekly team meetings, and seek ways to improve efficiency and productivity.
As a Graduate Mechanical Engineer, you will:
Technical Ability
You should have a basic understanding of current building regulations, CIBSE documentation, British standards, BSRIA documentation, and other relevant design guides. While full understanding of these documents is not expected, familiarity with their coverage is necessary. You should be IT literate, with working knowledge of Office, AutoCAD, and Hevacomp. Progressing towards CIBSE membership is encouraged.
