Harley Haddow in Glasgow is seeking a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to support the Mechanical & Mechanical Services design on projects. You will learn under senior engineers, attending training and progressing your career goals with mentorship and support.
This permanent opportunity offers exposure to RIBA design stages, QA procedures and client liaison, with a central Glasgow location and opportunities for site exposure and professional development.

Purpose
As a member of the department your responsibilities will include input to the delivery of the Mechanical & Mechanical Services Design on assigned projects. You shall also be responsible for maintaining and improving the quality and efficiency of the Mechanical & Mechanical Services design and post contract implementation offered by Harley Haddow.
The position demands excellent communication skills; you will be representing Harley Haddow through direct contact with clients and other design team members.
You will learn by assisting the engineers on projects and be mentored by senior members of the team. You will be allowed to attend University/other training courses with prior approval of the Departmental Director in order to progress your learning and career goals. Where you have chosen to undertake First Aid training and are appointed as a First Aider in the company you have a responsibility to keep your training up to date and carry out monthly checks on first aid supplies.

Continue to apply office procedures and basic engineering principles
Develop Concept Designs as part of the RIBA Stage 2 & 3 Design Process
Detailed Design as part of RIBA Stage 4 production.
Software
Proficient in the use of all necessary design software not limited to those identified below:
Post Contract Implementationin line with RIBA Stage5, 6 & 7
