Job summary

Galliford Try Group invites applications for its Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer 2027 programme. Based across Grangemouth, Warrington and Keighley, the role starts September 2027 in a two-year development programme that combines hands‑on design work with professional qualification support.

You will collaborate with civil, electrical and process engineers to design mechanical systems for water treatment plants, develop drawings, perform hydraulic calculations and engage in site visits and

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters in Mechanical Engineering completed before Sep 2027.
• Full UK driving licence or currently learning with expected by Sep 2027.
• Eligibility to live and work in the UK without restriction.

Responsibilities

• Assist design of mechanical systems for water and wastewater plants.
• Develop mechanical drawings, P&IDs and General Arrangement Drawings.
• Perform basic hydraulic calculations.
• Prepare specifications and data sheets for procurement of equipment.
• Attend site visits, surveys, and assist installation and commissioning.
• Attend client meetings including HAZOP and Buildability reviews.
• Collaborate with civil, electrical and process engineers for integrated solutions.
