Job summary

A Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer role is available with Adecco in the Gloucester area. You will work alongside experienced engineers to design and develop engineered products from concept through production, gaining exposure to the full product life cycle.

You will create SolidWorks models and 2D drawings, support NPD and continuous improvement projects, and help with calculations, testing, and validation.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience using SolidWorks and 2D CAD through university projects, placements, internships, or employment.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering and design principles.

Responsibilities

• Create SolidWorks 3D models, 2D CAD drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation.
• Support new product development and continuous improvement projects.
• Assist with engineering calculations, testing, and product validation.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are production-ready.
• Support prototype development and new product introduction activities.
• Maintain accurate engineering drawings and technical documentation.
