Win Berry is seeking a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer in Yeovil for a full‑time permanent role. The position focuses on mechanical design from concept to production, working within a small multidisciplinary team to deliver CAD models, assemblies and manufacturing drawings.

You will contribute to the development of new products, modify existing designs, and support with manufacturing processes and cost-effective solutions, gaining broad exposure to the product lifecycle.

Qualificações

• Experience of mechanical design within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Good experience using 3D CAD.
• Experience producing engineering or manufacturing drawings.
• Understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
• Understanding materials, manufacturing processes and tolerances.

Responsabilidades

• Create and develop 3D CAD models, assemblies and manufacturing drawings.
• Design mechanical components and assemblies for manufacture and assembly.
• Support the development of new product and equipment designs.
• Modify and improve existing designs.
• Produce accurate Bills of Materials and engineering documentation.
• Support design reviews and technical problem-solving.
• Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are practical and achievable.
• Consider materials, manufacturing processes, tolerances and assembly requirements.
• Apply Design for Manufacture principles.
• Identify opportunities to simplify designs and improve manufacturing efficiency.
• Support the resolution of manufacturing and installation issues.
• Assist with product improvement, cost reduction and component standardisation.
• Liaise with suppliers on components and technical requirements.
• Provide technical support to Production and Service teams where required.
