Job summary

Euro-Projects Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Design Engineer / Mechanical Design Engineer to join our established manufacturing/engineering client. The role focuses on developing skills across full product design lifecycle, from concept to production, with hands-on CAD modelling and drawings using Inventor and AutoCAD.

You will join a supportive team, receive comprehensive training and mentorship, and contribute to real engineering projects while building a long-term career in mechanical design

Qualifications

• A relevant engineering qualification such as an Apprenticeship, HNC, HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering or related discipline.
• Some previous experience or exposure to 3D CAD design.
• Working knowledge of CAD software such as Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, AutoCAD or similar.
• Understanding of mechanical engineering principles and technical drawings.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of an engineering team.
• A proactive approach and a genuine desire to learn, develop and build a career in design engineering.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the design and development of new products, components and engineering solutions.
• Creating detailed 3D CAD models and 2D engineering drawings using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
• Supporting the design process from initial concept through to production.
• Working with experienced Design Engineers to develop your technical and engineering knowledge.
• Supporting engineering projects through technical documentation, data management and engineering records.
• Working closely with manufacturing, quality and other engineering teams to ensure designs meet technical, safety and regulatory requirements.
• Participating in design reviews and contributing ideas for product and process improvements.
