The Role
As a Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant, you’ll support pupils in Key Stage 4, focusing on one-to-one and small group intervention. You’ll help students prepare for their GCSEs by breaking down complex topics, reinforcing classroom learning, and building problem-solving confidence. Working closely with the maths department, you’ll deliver structured support to pupils who need extra input to stay on track. You'll also have the opportunity to support in-class learning, contribute to planning, and track pupil progress over time.
The Candidate
You're a maths graduate—or have a closely related degree—with a clear, analytical approach and strong communication skills. You enjoy helping others understand tricky concepts and are keen to explore a career in education. Experience working with young people (tutoring, mentoring, classroom support) is highly desirable. You should be patient, encouraging, and ready to make a difference in a busy secondary setting.
