Aggreko plc in Lomondgate Production Facility is seeking a Graduate Manufacturing Technical Writer to translate complex engineering information into clear, user-friendly documentation. You will work with engineers and operations teams to capture processes, create SOPs, work instructions and training materials, and support manufacturing excellence.

The role combines technical writing with hands-on shop floor observation, quality awareness and cross-team collaboration to drive safety, efficiency

Competenze

• Degree, diploma or relevant experience in mechanical, electrical or engineering environment.
• Strong interest in turning technical information into clear, easy-to-understand documentation.
• Understanding of quality standards and management systems such as ISO.
• Effective communication and collaboration across multiple teams.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and desire to develop technical writing skills.

Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Graduate Manufacturing Technical Writer based in our Lomondgate Production Facility. You'll play a key role in bringing technical information to life. Working closely with experienced engineers and operational teams, you'll learn how to create clear, accurate documentation that supports manufacturing excellence, drives continuous improvement, and helps ensure safe and efficient operations.

What you’ll do as a Graduate Manufacturing Technical Writer:

• Create and maintain clear technical documents, including SOPs, work instructions and training materials.
• Capture manufacturing processes through shop floor observation, gathering detailed steps, photos and technical information.
• Work closely with engineers, production teams and subject matter experts to translate complex information into user-friendly content.
• Develop visual documentation using diagrams, flowcharts and schematics to support operational efficiency and safety.
• Ensure all documentation is accurate, compliant with quality standards and reflects manufacturing best practice

You are:

• Degree, diploma or relevant experience within a mechanical, electrical or engineering environment.
• Strong interest in turning technical information into clear, easy-to-understand documentation.
• Understanding of, or willingness to learn, quality standards and management systems such as ISO.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the confidence to work across multiple teams.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and a desire to develop technical writing and documentation skills.
