Job summary

The Best Connection in Bilston is seeking a Graduate Maintenance Electrician / Electrical Engineer to join the team. Your role will involve electrical maintenance on production machinery, fault finding, and supporting maintenance programmes in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• A degree in electrical/related engineering discipline is required or highly desirable.
• Preference for 1st class or strong 2:1 classification.
• Demonstrated strong interest in electrical maintenance in manufacturing settings.
• Willingness to learn and develop practical engineering skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
• Assist with fault finding, repairs and breakdown response.
• Support planned preventative maintenance programmes.
• Work with experienced engineers to improve equipment reliability.
• Assist with PLC and automation-related tasks.
• Ensure all work complies with company procedures and safety rules.
• Support continuous improvement projects across the site.

The Best Connection is looking for a Graduate Maintenance Electrician / Electrical Engineer to join our client based in Bilston.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 07:00 - 16:30

Salary:£28,000 - £32,000 per annum

Duties and Responsibilities

• Carrying out electrical maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
• Assisting with fault finding, repairs and breakdown response.
• Supporting planned preventative maintenance programmes.
• Working alongside experienced engineers to improve equipment reliability.
• Assisting with PLC and automation-related tasks.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures.
• Supporting continuous improvement projects across the site.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics or a related discipline.
• Ideally a First Class degree or a strong 2:1 classification.
• Strong interest in electrical maintenance and manufacturing environments.
• Practical and hands-on approach to engineering.
• Knowledge of fault finding and electrical systems.
• Good problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.
• 18th Edition qualification or installation experience would be advantageous.
