Protocol Education, a specialist recruitment partner for schools, is seeking a Graduate Learning Support Assistant to work with pupils who require additional educational, behavioural and emotional support in a SEND setting in Newcastle upon Tyne. This role is ideal for graduates aiming to gain classroom experience in teaching, psychology or youth work, offering valuable exposure and ongoing training.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with SEND and SEMH needs
• Delivering individual and small group interventions
• Encouraging positive behaviour and classroom engagement
• Helping pupils build confidence, independence and resilience
• Supporting emotional wellbeing and social development
• Assisting teachers in delivering personalised learning strategies
• As a Graduate Learning Support Assistant, you will play an important role in helping pupils feel supported, engaged and successful throughout the school day.
