Job summary

Veritas Education Recruitment is seeking graduates to join primary schools in Barnet as Learning Support Assistants from September 2026. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm, term-time only, supporting teachers and pupils in inclusive education settings.

Ideal candidates will hold a degree in any subject, have an interest in working with children, and bring DBS clearance or willingness to obtain one, plus two professional references. Right to work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in any subject.
• Interest in working with children.
• Previous experience with children (school, tutoring, coaching, camps, mentoring, youth work, volunteering or similar).
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK and two professional references.

Responsibilities

• Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm; term-time only.
• Long-term position for the full academic year in primary schools in Barnet.
• Support class teachers with planning, delivering and assessing learning activities.
• Support pupils with learning, behaviour, and social development; assist with inclusive practices and SEN support where needed.
• Contribute to a positive learning environment and help build pupil confidence and engagement.
