Job summary

Protocol Education in Leeds is seeking graduates to join as Graduate Learning Mentors to support students academically and pastorally. The role offers valuable experience in classrooms ahead of teacher training and a platform for developing mentoring and intervention skills.

You will work with teachers across year groups, deliver small-group sessions, and help create an inclusive learning environment. The position is full-time during term time with additional training days.

If you're a graduate looking to gain meaningful experience in schools before undertaking teacher training, this could be the perfect opportunity.

Schools across Leeds are seeking dedicated Graduate Learning Mentors to support students both academically and pastorally. This role provides excellent exposure to classroom practice and the wider responsibilities of working in education.

The Role

As a Graduate Learning Mentor, you will:

  • Support students in achieving their academic potential.
  • Deliver intervention sessions to individuals and small groups.
  • Provide encouragement and mentoring to students.
  • Assist classroom teachers during lessons.
  • Support students with varying learning needs and abilities.
  • Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive learning environment.
What We're Looking For

You will:

Experience working with children, young people or in a mentoring capacity would be advantageous but is not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
