Job summary

KPI Recruiting Ltd in Leeds is seeking a Graduate English Learning Mentor to gain hands-on classroom experience in secondary schools across Leeds. Start September 2026 for a full-time, term-time role that pays up to £560 per week.

You will support GCSE and A‑Level students with literacy, analysis, and communication skills, through interventions, small groups, and one-to-one mentoring, building a strong foundation for future teacher training.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to explain complex ideas clearly and effectively.
• Genuine passion for education and supporting young people.
• Interest in pursuing a career in teaching.
• Experience tutoring, mentoring, coaching, or in a classroom setting.
• Familiarity with GCSE and A‑Level English curricula.
• Experience working with young people in any capacity.

Responsibilities

• Support GCSE and A‑Level students in developing literacy, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
• Deliver targeted interventions, small-group sessions, and one-to-one mentoring.
• Assist students with essay writing, reading comprehension, and textual analysis.
• Help students develop effective revision strategies and examination techniques.
• Build confidence in written and spoken communication.
• Collaborate with English teachers to improve student outcomes.
• Foster positive relationships that encourage engagement and academic success.
