Job Description:

An opportunity to join one of the UK’s most successful start-ups in scientific instrumentation and analytics. This company has been developing and commercialising their Adeno-Associated Virus (AAV) and Lentiviral vectors (LVV) analytical equipment.

Due to the success of their Consumables business, they are looking for a Graduate Lab Technician/Production Operative to support their Consumables team. The role involves supporting the Operations team in delivering consumables products. It is based onsite at their Botley, Oxfordshire location.

Responsibilities include:

  • Setting up, monitoring, and maintaining machines/equipment.
  • Performing production operations and processes related to consumables products, following manufacturing instructions and protocols.
  • Conducting Quality Control operations, including measurements with Mass Photometers, data recording, and inspections, adhering to QC protocols.
  • Participating in production meetings and fault-finding activities.
  • Reporting quality issues and assisting in resolution.
  • Supporting manufacturing operations for the Mass Photometer production line.
  • Performing repetitive tasks such as kitting, packing, labelling, and shipping.

Experience required:

  • GCSE/A/AS Level in Science.
  • A science degree is advantageous.
  • Experience in scientific labs, clean rooms, or high-tech manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams to meet targets.
  • Proficiency with Windows, MS Word, Excel.
  • Attention to detail and focus.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
