Job summary

Cranleigh STEM & Sustainability Recruitment seeks a motivated science graduate for a fully onsite, permanent, full-time role in Berkshire. You will gain industrial laboratory experience in flavours, fragrances and natural products, with structured training in sensory assessment, physical testing and analytical techniques.

Ideal candidates hold a recent degree in Chemistry or related fields, have strong lab and computer skills, and are eager to learn and contribute in a fast-paced team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Biochemistry, or related field required.
• Strong basic lab and computer skills expected.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and work well in a team.
• Willingness to learn new techniques and adapt.

Responsibilities

• Receive, handle and dispatch laboratory samples.
• Maintain accurate sample records and keep storage areas organised.
• Coordinate sample requirements with logistics, sales and QA teams.
• Communicate updates and help resolve sample-related delays.
• Participate in sensory training covering aroma families and natural products.
• Support the physical testing and organoleptic evaluation of samples.
• Contribute to flavour and fragrance development projects and customer presentations.
• Gain exposure to GC, HPLC and titration techniques.
