Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant - Psychology Graduate Ideal
Location: Tameside, Manchester Secondary School Full-Time Term-Time Only

Are you a recent graduate in Psychology or a related field, looking to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people?

Aspire People are working in partnership with a well-facilitated, supportive secondary school in Tameside, Manchester, to recruit a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN).

This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about inclusive education, especially if you're considering a future in educational psychology, teaching, or support work.

The Role:

As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who have a variety of needs including:
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
- Dyslexia and other specific learning difficulties
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Behaviours that challenge

Your support will take place within the classroom alongside teaching staff, as well as in the school's dedicated Learning Support Base, helping to ensure every student can access the curriculum and thrive in their learning environment.

What We're Looking For:

- A recent graduate - ideally in Psychology, Education, Criminology, Sociology or another related field
- Previous experience working with young people or individuals with SEN/SEMH (e.g. in a tutoring, youth work, or placement setting)
- A proactive, patient and resilient individual who is committed to supporting students to reach their full potential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
