Job summary

Wolviston Management Services, on behalf of Tioxide Materials Ltd, recruiting a Graduate Instrument Engineer to join the Greatham site engineering team on a 3‑month contract. You will work with an experienced team, gaining hands-on experience in instrumentation, process control, SIS and CAPEX projects.

You will gain exposure to DCS/PLC systems (DeltaV, MOD300, Siemens PLCs, PI Vision) and contribute to safety, reliability and asset performance in a busy chemical manufacturing environment.

• Sound understanding of instrumentation and control engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the specification, selection, installation, maintenance and testing of industrial instrumentation.
• Gaining practical experience with pressure, temperature, flow and level measurement, control valves and associated field equipment.
• Assisting with instrument fault investigations, root cause analysis and reliability improvements.
• Developing an understanding of DCS and PLC systems, including DeltaV, MOD300, Siemens PLCs and PI Vision.
• Supporting instrumentation engineering activities associated with CAPEX projects, plant modifications and commissioning.
• Assisting with the preparation of technical specifications, instrument data sheets, engineering drawings and documentation.
• Gaining exposure to Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), functional safety and hazardous area engineering.
• Supporting Management of Change processes, engineering risk assessments and process safety activities.
• Working alongside Maintenance, Operations, Engineering and specialist contractors to improve plant reliability and performance.
