Senior DCS & PLC Engineer - 24/7 Process Automation

Job summary

Wolviston Management Services is recruiting on behalf of Tioxide Materials Ltd for an experienced DCS Engineer to join the Site Engineering team at the Greatham facility near Hartlepool. You will maintain and improve critical DCS/PLC systems in a 24/7 process environment.

Reporting to the Process Automation Manager, you\'ll implement changes from capital projects, support out-of-hours breakdowns, and develop KPIs and reports to ensure safety, reliability and compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in a control-system environment.
• Strong experience with DCS and PLC process automation.
• Knowledge of firewalls, network management and software programming languages.
• Ability to work in a collaborative engineering environment with safety focus.
• Experience with MOD300 and/or DeltaV is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, monitor and improve DCS/PLC systems in a 24/7 plant.
• Develop and test DCS code changes before go-live.
• Analyse DCS performance data and investigate anomalies.
• Prepare control-system KPIs and performance reports.
• Coordinate the change-management process.
• Provide breakdown support, including some out-of-hours.
