Job summary

Stantec invites graduates to join the 2027 Autumn Graduate Programme as a Graduate Major Infrastructure Planner in Southampton, working within the Community Development discipline and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team.

You'll gain infrastructure planning expertise through planning assessments, stakeholder engagement, and NSIP opportunities, with support to achieve RTPI accreditation and a clear progression path in a supportive, client-facing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Town Planning or Geography.
• Willing to join in office 4 days per week and be part of an on-site team.
• Professional qualification: RTPI accreditation supported.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking planning research and site selection appraisals to support project development.
• Coordination of stakeholder engagement and preparing information.
• Assisting with the preparation and submission of planning applications.
• Supporting community engagement and stakeholder consultation activities.
• Contributing to the promotion of local plans and planning policy responses.
• Working on a diverse range of major infrastructure projects.
