Job summary

Stantec's 2027 Autumn Graduate Programme is recruiting a Graduate Major Infrastructure Planner for Bristol or Taunton. You’ll join a market-leading Community Development discipline and develop town planning expertise within a multidisciplinary environment.

You’ll work on planning assessments, stakeholder engagement, and NSIPs/local plans, gaining experience in policy development, siting, route selection, and project coordination while collaborating with graduates and teams across Stantec.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Town Planning or Geography.
• RTPI qualification is encouraged as part of professional development.
• Graduate programme requires in-office presence four days a week to support team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking planning research and site selection appraisals to support project development.
• Coordination of stakeholder engagement and preparing information for planning submissions.
• Assisting with the preparation and submission of planning applications.
• Supporting community engagement and stakeholder consultation activities.
• Contributing to the promotion of local plans and planning policy responses.
• Working on a diverse range of major infrastructure projects.
