Job summary

SSE is recruiting a Consents and Environment Graduate for a full-time role, starting September 2027, with base locations in Aberdeen, Inverness or Perth.

You will gain hands-on experience across the transmission project lifecycle, supporting environmental assessments, site inspections and documentation reviews while collaborating with engineering teams to minimise environmental impacts. The programme prepares you for a future Consents and Environment Manager role within SSEN Transmission.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2:2 honours degree in the listed disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Support environmental assessments and site inspections.
• Review project documentation and reports.
• Collaborate with engineering and construction teams to minimise environmental impacts.
• Build relationships with regulators, contractors and local communities.
• Develop knowledge of environmental compliance, consenting and risk management.
