Job summary

SSE plc in the United Kingdom is seeking a Consents and Environment Graduate to gain hands-on experience across the transmission project lifecycle. You will support environmental assessments and site inspections, review project documentation and collaborate with engineering and construction teams to minimise impacts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2:2 honours degree in Geography, Town Planning, Environmental Science, Ecology, Environmental Management, Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, Biodiversity Net Gain, Environmental Restoration, Natural Sciences, Biology, Zoology, or PR and Communications.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience across different stages of the transmission project lifecycle.
• Support environmental assessments and site inspections, review project documentation and work with engineering and construction teams to help avoid or minimise environmental impacts.
• Build relationships with colleagues, contractors, regulators and local communities while developing knowledge of environmental compliance, consenting and risk management.
