Job summary

Kier Group in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire, is seeking a Graduate ICA Engineer to support instrumentation, control and automation projects within our water sector team. This 2-year permanent programme offers structured training and early exposure to real projects on site.

You will join our Infrastructure team, work on a high-profile project, and gain hands-on experience across control strategies, documentation, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• A related Degree in Engineering.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Graduate expected in 2027 or recently graduated within the past three years.

Responsibilities

• Implement control strategies that optimize water treatment processes and ensure reliability and efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with project teams, clients, and suppliers to deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget.
• Prepare technical documentation, including specifications, schematics, risk assessments, and operation manuals
• Ensure compliance with relevant water sector regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines
• Review ICA related installation and commissioning works on site, ensuring compliance with quality and asset standards

We're looking for a Graduate Engineer with an interest in Instrumentation, Control, and Automation systems. You willjoin our Infrastructure team and assist our water team on a high profile project in the Rickmansworth area. Locations: Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire

Starting Salary: £31,000 per annum with potential £4,750 car allowance depending on eligibility

Pathway:Permanent, Full-time 2-year programme, leading to assistant level role upon completion with salary potential of CIRCA £38k

Starting date:September 2027

As a Graduate Engineer, you'll be an essential part of our engineering team, assisting the team on Instrumentation, Control & Automation engineering systems
