Job summary

Urban Planters, part of Rentokil Initial, is seeking a Graduate Horticultural Technician in Reading. You will start by covering a defined geographic area, supported by externally accredited training. No prior experience required, with a 2.2 degree in science/horticulture/agriculture and a UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Problem solving and helping customers
• Passion for horticulture and degree in a science-based field preferred
• Full UK driving licence required
• Willingness to learn and adapt
• DBS check may be required depending on role
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Plant knowledge and enthusiasm for horticulture are advantageous

Responsibilities

• Water and maintain live plant displays, perform pest control and watering
• Replace dead or overgrown plants and maintain artificial displays
• Assist with plant display installations and seasonal installations
• Provide excellent customer service and professional image at all times
• Adhere to health and safety procedures and corporate standards
