Job summary

Rentokil Initial, via Urban Planters, is seeking a Graduate Horticultural Technician to cover the Chester area and surrounding towns. The role starts with 6–12 months focused on a defined geographic area, supporting customers by maintaining live and artificial plant displays and receiving externally accredited training.

You'll develop hands-on plant care and installation skills, with progression opportunities into Sales Consultants, Service Supervisor, or National Account Manager across the UK

Qualifications

• Minimum 2.2 degree in a science-based, horticultural or agricultural field.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Desire to work hard and engage with customers daily.
• Flexibility with working patterns to support business needs.

Responsibilities

• Watering, feeding and pest control of live plant displays.
• Replace dead or overgrown plant displays and maintain artificial displays.
• Assist with plant display installations and seasonal installations.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures.
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional image.
• Offer advice to customers on plant upkeep.
