Job summary

Urban Planters is seeking a Graduate Horticultural Technician in the Okehampton/Exeter area to start as an Interior Maintenance Technician, with the first 6–12 months covering a defined geographic area. You will support customers by maintaining live and artificial plant displays while receiving externally accredited training.

Expect a basic salary of £26,700 with bonus/commission schemes, a full UK driving licence, and a strong focus on career development within Rentokil Initial.

Qualifications

• A minimum 2.2 degree in a science, horticultural or agricultural field.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Desire to work hard and have fun while interacting with customers daily.
• Flexibility with working patterns to support business needs.
• DBS check may be required depending on role.
• Ability to use own initiative.
• Plant knowledge and passion for horticulture is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Watering, feeding and pest control of live plant displays.
• Replacing dead or overgrown plant displays.
• Maintain artificial plant displays.
• Assist with plant display installations.
• Assist with seasonal installations.
• Comply with health and safety procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional image.
